Coney Island Dogs – On the Blackstone Griddle!

Since everyone is stuck at home with little to do we thought we would have you come hangout with us,,, virtually anyway. Trips to the grocery store are hit or miss. What we did have on hand was some ground chuck, hot dogs and hot dog buns which sounded like a perfect start to “coney island hot dog sauce”! Nate invited Jeff and Chris over to hangout in a social distancing responsible way, have a few drinks and some dogs. We hope you enjoy watching this as much as we enjoyed making it!

Coney Island Sauce:

1lbs Ground Beef
1/2 Cup Diced Onion
1 1/2 Cups Ketchup
4 Tablespoons white sugar
4 Tablespoons white vinegar
3 Tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/3rd to 1/4 Cup of water
Fresh Ground Black Pepper to taste
Salt to Taste

Brown the beef and onion, add to a pre-heated sauce pan on your griddle. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for about 1 hour. Add water if needed. Ladle heavily on top of griddled hot dogs to serve!
