Let’s get started on these buttery…flakey biscuit goodness. Start with All-Purpose Flour, Bread Flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Mix dry ingredients together evenly. Prepare butter by first placing in the freezer. This will allow you to chop the butter easier. For extra flaky biscuits, coat cooled butter in flour and chop to finer bits (to a crumble.) Add butter bits to the dry flour mixture.
Now for the good stuff – add butter milk. Mix into the dry ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon. Flour your workspace then flatten your dough and FOLD five times. Cut into circles and place in your cast iron pan. Bake on the Artisan Outdoor Oven, let cool, and enjoy!
P.S keep your dough scraps and use them!
