Grilled Ham & Cheese Sandwich

This recipe is all about taking a classic sandwich recipe and having fun. Get your cast iron skillets ready and have fun cooking this recipe. When your done, let us know how it went and if you added anything to it to make it your own kind of sandwich.

Ingredients:

• 2 slices of bread
• Butter
• Cheddar cheese – sliced
• 1 cup of Parmesan cheese
• Deli sliced ham

Directions:

1. Spread butter on bread, then sprinkle Parmesan cheese on bread. Flip bread slices over and begin building your sandwich by placing the cheese on first. Add ham then put more cheese on top of ham.

2. Pre heat two skillets on medium heat. To test skillets if their hot enough, sprinkle small amount water on the surface. If it sizzles and dances around, starting grilling. If not, let them heat up a bit more. Once the skillets are hot enough, place sandwiches on one of the skillets.

3. Let them cook for 10-20 seconds before placing the second heated skillet on top. Place the skillet the skillet on top using gloves or hot pads. Cook sandwiches until cheese begins to melt or desired doneness.

4. Remove the top skillet, then remove the sandwiches. Let sandwiches cool, slice, and enjoy!
